This is the correct answer. A few extra bits:. They de-rage after they successfully hit someone while raged.but there's no cooldown on rage caused by damage, so if you're continuously shooting them they'll chain-rage even as they hit you.
If you jump while being hit, they'll fling you out of melee range which will save you from followup attacksIn single player, you can easily kill two that spawn together as long as you're pro-active in attacking one of them. If you can't for some reason and they both rage at the same time, then you need to clear a path to kite and jump as they hit you so they calm down while doing minimal damage.
